Some take a bit of extra time to settle and others take lots of patience and a variety of soothing strategies. Lucy was 7 days old at her session and she reminded me a lot of my own 1st babe &#8211; alert, bright-eyed, sensitive. She had some tummy troubles but soon settled to sleep. Her mama commented, &#8220;you must have the patience of a saint&#8221; and I couldn&#8217;t help but smile because the truth is, I honestly lose track of time when I&#8217;m holding a newborn.
