Copyright
Laura Reive owns and retains the exclusive copyright to all images taken during the session. It is illegal for anyone other than Laura Reive to scan, copy, screenshot or or reproduce her work in any way without Laura’s written permission. Laura will make reproductions for the client or anyone with whom the client shares the password-protected ordering gallery. All digital images remain the property of Laura Reive and may be used for display, portfolio, samples, or blogging/social media sharing. Thank you for respecting me as your photographer by not using your camera/s (phone or other) at our session without permission.
Session Fee
The session fee is due in full at the beginning of the session. Session fees cover your session length and experience. Prints, albums, and digital images are purchased separately, not included in the session fee. Session fees cover up to 2 hours for baby/family sessions up to 3 hours for newborn sessions. The session fee includes careful selection and editing of your images (a minimum of 35-40) in a password-protected, online proofing gallery. Re-shoots are available at the artist’s discretion and/or in the event of equipment/technical failure.
Your Proofing Gallery & Ordering Process
Your online proofing gallery will be ready for viewing approximately two weeks after your session. Files not shown have been purged and are not available for viewing or for purchase. Your proofing gallery will be available for 5 days. Please request additional time if needed.
Orders are placed by email or in-person if you prefer to set up an in-person ordering session. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing prints and 6-8 weeks for albums and products requiring custom design. I will contact you by email when your order is ready for pick-up. I am not responsible for lengthy wait times that occur as a result of orders being placed well after the gallery expiration date. Please note, orders are processed as a whole (i.e. if you order prints and a custom fine art album, the prints and album will be ready for pick-up at the same time.
Retouching
Minor retouching is completed at the discretion of the artist and is included in the price of prints. Major retouching is available upon request at a rate of $75/hour. If necessary, you will receive an estimate of costs for your confirmation before any retouching work is undertaken.
Sales are Final
Due to the custom nature of photography prints and products, all sales are final. Refunds will not be issued. Before packaging prints for pick-up, I am very careful to ensure you are receiving the highest quality final products. However, in the event that your prints/products are damaged when you receive them, I will absolutely reprint at no cost to you.
Reorders
The price list is adjusted periodically and orders are charged at the prices in effect at the time the order is placed. Ordered images are kept on file for one year from the date of your session. Unordered images are not kept. You may reorder images at any time during the year in any size or format. However in the event of media storage failure, I cannot guarantee that your images will be available.
Caring for your Art
All prints/products are printed at a superior quality professional Canadian lab. Wall prints larger than 11×14 are mounted and laminated for extra protection. Please handle your portraits with extreme care. Damage as a result of improper handling is the responsibility of the client.
